As the planets begin to spread out we no longer have the cosmic log jam that we had last week, with Venus extending her lead on the other planets in order to give the Sun and Mercury some breathing space. Last week began with not only the Sun and Mercury aligned in your relationship sector but with half the solar system aligned there. At the time, in her final days in your financial sector, Venus was doing her own thing, more focused on updating your financial wish list. As first Mercury left your relationship sector last Friday and then the Sun on Tuesday, this will see a lot of the intensity drop back, while still leaving your relationships with the resources they need. This gives the Sun and Mercury a chance to turn their attention onto your financial situation and money matters, returning to your financial sector where Venus was last week. However, Venus has moved on and in her first full week in an adventurous part of your chart is fuelling a desire for adventure.
The focus is always on your relationships at this time of year, with the Sun always spending the last 10 days and the first three weeks of every year in your relationship sector. However, not to the degree that you have this month, with the year starting with an incredible six planet line up in your relationship sector. It is not just the number of planets in your relationship sector that makes this significant but the calibre of those planets. After his return last month, Jupiter is spending his first full month in your relationship sector in over a decade, while teaming up with Saturn and Pluto here for the first time in our lifetime. While Saturn will leave for a few months in March, he will return in July and will be here until he and Jupiter both leave in December, while Pluto will remain here all year. This means that while there might be a lot of focus on your relationships this month that will remain the case all year. With all that focus on your relationships, it is just as well that a balance between your personal and relationship needs is being policed. This is being policed by the lunar nodes and the point where this is most likely to be put to the test is during a lunar eclipse in Cancer on 11th January. This is a super charged version of the ‘what about me’ Full Moon that falls here at the halfway point in each solar year and always when the Sun is in your relationship sector. In the meantime, between them, Mars and Venus are playing musical chairs in a way that will not only ensure life doesn’t become all work and no play but you have the right balance between the two. The month begins with Mars in a playful part of your chart, with his return to your busy work sector on 3rd January leaving it empty. This kicks off what will be some of the busiest weeks of 2020, through to his departure on 17th February. Venus, who begins the month updating your financial wish list will step in to ensure life doesn’t become all work and no play, when she returns to an adventurous part of your chart on 14th January.
