There are some fairly significant shifts in focus in the early days of the month. The year begins with Mars in your career sector, Venus in your work sector and with the momentum from a Full Moon in your income sector just before Christmas. Yet while this gives your new professional and financial years a head start and provides some real momentum across the income, work and career fronts, this focus will dial back. Mars will leave your career sector on New Year’s Day and Venus will leave your work sector a week later. Yet while their departure will take away the urgency and the need to have your work and professional hats on 24/7, there is still plenty of momentum across the income, work and career fronts. Venus and Mars spent most of December working as a team and that will continue, even after they move on. Mars will return to your friendship sector on New Year’s Day and Venus will return to your relationship sector a week later. Where they had worked together to support job and career matters, they shift focus this month to support friendship and relationship building. Both will benefit from a lunar eclipse in your communication sector on 21st January. Venus will join Jupiter in your relationship sector, with the planets of love and luck teaming up here for the first time in 12 years. While Venus is only here until early next month, Jupiter is here until December, giving this auspicious year for relationship matters a head start. At the same time, while the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of the year in an adventurous part of your chart, a focus on adventure, travel, learning and discovery will continue all year as well. The days of all work and no play are over.
