Regardless of what else has or still is developing professionally, you will always begin the year with the focus on work and job matters. That is because the Sun always has and always will spend the first three weeks of January in your work sector, shining the solar spotlight onto your work situation and job matters. Yet while the Sun provides the light, it is what that light reveals that makes each new professional year a different story and this year the story is a whole library of options. The year begins with not only the Sun in your work sector but Saturn, Pluto and the North Node. Saturn has just completed his first full year in your work sector and has now moved into his last full year. You now know what you are working with and to a degree, this year will be a continuation of that. The wildcard is the South Node, who returned in November to give you access to the past and untapped potential. A sleeper until now, it is the South Node’s presence that will turn an ordinary New Moon on 6th January into an extraordinary New Moon. Mercury’s return on 5th January will ensure you have your head in the game, as a formidable line up of forces gather to take advantage of the new beginnings and momentum this will create on the job front. Yet while the Sun will leave on 20th January and Mercury on 24th January, the best is still to come. Held back by a retrograde phase, Venus won’t return until early next month. However, with Mars returning to your career sector next month, the timing couldn’t be better. January is the month when everything starts to move, but next month will mark the start of a major coming together of job and career forces that will continue all year.
