This week’s lunar eclipse is the flip side of the coin to a total solar eclipse in your career sector two weeks earlier and while this is a different experience, they are both equally important. Unlike the solar eclipse two weeks earlier, when the Sun and Moon aligned to create an eclipsing New Moon, they will move into opposition to create this week’s eclipsing Full Moon. With the Sun and Venus both in their last full week in your career sector and the lunar eclipse more focused on home and family matters, this is the ultimate clash between your home and professional lives. Where work/life balance tensions have been waxing and waning for the past month, this is a chance to finally get things out in the open. As this push back can create some real professional momentum, having the right work/life balance is an advantage and not a challenge. Mercury will retrograde back into your career sector on Friday, returning to turn this into an opportunity for a breakthrough.
Despite the fact that forces on the job and career fronts are actively supporting each other, the energies on each front couldn’t be more different. On the job front, the only planet active is dreamy Neptune, who in his first full month in retrograde motion in your work sector is pulling back and beginning a review phase. As well as a chance to revisit old dreams, this is a chance to go back over old ground. Neptune has spent from June to November in retrograde motion since returning in 2012 and will continue to until leaving in 2026. As June is when the Sun and faster moving planets always return to your career sector, it is almost as though Neptune is waiting for reinforcements so he can take a break. It has become the norm for work and job matters to slow down and career matters to accelerate at this time of year. The Sun will always spend the first three weeks of July in your career sector, shining the solar spotlight on your career and professional situation, matters and options. However, this is about the only thing that can be considered the norm this year. What Mars found when he returned in May, the Sun and Mercury found when they returned last month and Venus will find when she returns on 4th July, is that for the first time in 17 years the North Node is here. The North Node is a force that not only has a clear sense of professional direction but can carry things forward. And this month this is set to have major implications, with the stars literally aligning in the early days of the month. It begins with the Moon’s return to your career sector on 2nd July, something it has done every four weeks since the North Node’s return in November. However, this time the Sun is here and as they align to create a New Moon on 3rd July, the North Node’s presence will turn this very ordinary New Moon into an extraordinary total solar eclipse. This is an opportunity for major new beginnings, as well as an unleashing of all the potential that has been building since November.
