This is a week of two halves in terms of not just job confidence or work tension or job pressure but for the whole dynamics. And there is no gradual slide from one to the other, with the shift happening fairly dramatically on Wednesday. So much so that the week can be divided into everything up to that point and everything from that point. Until then, Mercury is spending his final days in your work sector under pressure from all three planets in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart. As those planets are Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn, the three most powerful planets in the solar system, this is something there is no escaping from. However, this is simply stress testing how well you know when to keep your work hat on and when to take it off. Any tension will drop when Mercury leaves on Wednesday, with the Moon’s return to your income sector just 64 minutes earlier there to catch it as it falls. By the time Venus returns to your work sector over the weekend you will be back on track though better able to work smarter.
For the first time in eight years, when Mercury leaves your work sector on 5th August, which even this is later than would normally be the case, Venus has yet to even return. And the reason why this time is the same reason why she had yet to return by this point in the year back in 2012, in that she is held back by a retrograde phase. This means that while the planetary activity on the job front for the year should be running its course, Venus’ return on 8th August means that the best is still to come. The fact that Mercury is even here for the early part of the month is the result of a retrograde phase as well. Mercury returned to your work sector at the end of May for what should have been a 14 to 15 day visit aimed at using his intellectually savvy edge and articulation to work smarter, get your head in the game, ideas on the table and the communication lines open. Instead, a retrograde turn means that Mercury is still here over two months later and will be until just three days before Venus returns to take over from where he leaves off. With the Sun and Mercury having already put in the hard and the mundane work, as the planet of money Venus returns to fuel your job confidence, attract opportunities and steer things in a lucrative direction. Venus is here until 6th September and while that will eventually leave not just your work sector but your two professional houses empty, just as Mercury kept the seat warm for her she will return the favour. Venus will leave just three weeks before Mercury will return to your career sector next month, kicking off all planetary activity on the career front for the year. Three months separate the Sun’s departure from your work sector and return to your career sector each year and that is often how long the gap between the focus on each is. This year, because of Venus’ late arrival and departure from your work sector and Mercury’s return to your career sector next month, that gap shrinks to just three weeks.
