In terms of a period of major planetary shifts that will have changed the dynamics of the year itself by the time it completes next Friday, we are just nearing the halfway point when we move into the new week. It began 10 days earlier when Mars returned to your home and family sector for the first time in two years. This is the start of a three month push that will invest some real energy into home, family and/or property matters. The two shifts this week are more mundane, with Mercury’s departure from your income sector on Tuesday, Venus’ over the weekend and their return to your communication sector something that happens at around this time every year. The biggest shift will be when Jupiter leaves your friendship sector and returns to a nostalgic part of your chart, beginning the wind down of your current personal 12 month lunar cycle next week. The Moon will make that same shift this week, giving you a practice run on what lies ahead.
At this time of year, although the Sun will always shift the dynamics in any given month, you wouldn’t expect the kind of change that we see this month. While some things will always change and evolve, you wouldn’t expect to see the dynamics of the year itself change yet that is what we have. The Sun will always begin May in your income sector and along with Venus and Mercury, is working to not just explore income potential but to steer the rest of the year in a lucrative direction. The Sun will also always end May in your communication sector, with communication always a focus at this time of year. Mercury, the planet of communication’s return on 4th May will get things off to an early start. Normally moving through your communication sector in just 14 to 15 days, Mercury will instead turn retrograde here on 30th May, keeping him here and the communication lines open through to July. Venus, the planet of love will join Mercury on 9th May, with her focus more on giving your heart and your relationships a voice. Meanwhile, the first major shift has been Mars’ return to your home and family sector, where at the start of the month he has been for just a week. This is Mars’ first visit in two years and he will spend the whole month channelling his drive into home, family and/or property matters. The event that will change the dynamics of the year itself is Jupiter’s return to Pisces on 14th May. Any planet must move through Pisces before returning to Aries, beginning the process of winding down one cycle and preparing for the next. This marks the start of the wind down of a 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion and while Jupiter won’t return to Aries until May 2022, a major period of review begins this month. Jupiter will do this in parts, retrograding back into your friendship sector at the end of July and then getting back to closing old doors in December.
