The week not only begins with the Moon in your relationship sector but just as Mercury, the planet of communication is spending his last full day in your friendship sector. It was their friendly aspect over the weekend that helped to compound Mercury’s friendly aspect to Pluto, in his first full week in retrograde motion in your relationship sector. While Mercury will leave on Tuesday, this sets the scene for what will continue to be a good week for friendship and relationship building. Meanwhile, the Moon will go on to have a significant impact on two very different areas of your chart. Returning to your financial sector in the early hours of the week, the Moon will fuel your financial instincts and imagination for the last time before Saturn turns retrograde here and before Jupiter leaves next week. Yet just as important will be the Moon’s return to an adventurous part of your chart on Wednesday. These adventurous lunar vibes are a taste of things to come, ahead of Jupiter’s return next week for the first time in over a decade.
There is a mix of the expected and the unexpected this month, giving you the confidence of knowing that it won’t be business as usual, with one month simply running into the next. What you would expect at this time of year is to have the Sun spend the first three weeks of May in your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking before beginning the wind down of your old solar year on 21st May. Also expected is that Venus and Mercury, the planets that rule the heart and mind will also make that same step, with Mercury leaving your friendship sector on 4th May and Venus on 9th May. This is when Mercury will give you a chance to get your head around closing old doors and making sense of the past, giving you a head start before the wind down of your old solar year begins. For Venus, this is more a chance to take your heart on a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Also expected at the start of the month is that the focus is still on your financial situation and money matters, with Jupiter and Saturn, the two most powerful planets in the solar system still in your financial sector, where they have been since December. However, while the biggest change will happen mid month there is already change in the air thanks to Mars’ return to Cancer last month. By the time you move into the new month, Mars has been in Cancer for a week and the launch of this new Mars cycle is still in its early days. Not due to leave until 12th June, Mars will spend the whole of May forging new paths, opening new doors and at the same time fuelling your passions, drive, competitive and warrior spirit. Even before you start winding down this current solar year, Mars is forging paths that your new solar year will benefit from. Meanwhile, the biggest game changer is Jupiter’s departure from your financial sector on 14th May, leaving Saturn to keep the focus on money matters, with a retrograde turn taking things into review mode. This frees Jupiter, the largest and most significant planet in the solar system to join forces with dreamy Neptune in your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery.
